Avila University is a private Catholic institution in Kansas City, Missouri, founded in 1916 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Admission Requirements (Undergraduate & Graduate)

Undergraduate Admissions:

English proficiency: TOEFL iBT: 61; IELTS exam – an overall score of at least 5.0 with no individual band score below 5.0; Duolingo score of 90 or higher; and other approved English Language test or program with score consistent with above approved scores.

Graduate Admissions:

English proficiency: TOEFL iBT: 75; IELTS exam – an overall score of at least 6.0 with no individual band score below 5.5; Duolingo score of 110 or higher; Pearson PTE 50 or higher; and other approved English Language test or program with score consistent with above approved scores.
Master’s in education (MAEd): Requires minimum GPA 3.0 on undergraduate transcript; application with official transcripts.
MBA (Business):
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree.
- No GMAT required.
- GPA 2.75+ qualifies for regular admission; GPA <2.5 may still be accepted provisionally.
- Rolling admissions for domestic students; international applicants should apply 90 days prior to semester start to allow for visa processing.
